At FDIC in Indianapolis, Indiana, FORTS® brought more than a product to the show floor. We brought a new way of thinking about fire station infrastructure. This year, FORTS® showcased the FORTS® Temporary Fire Station and demonstrated how one temporary fire station can become far more than a short-term solution. One of the highlights of FDIC was our FIREHOUSE Chat and open Q&A session with Chief Corey Smedley from Montgomery County, Maryland, a 2026 Candidate for IAFC Second Vice President. Chief Smedley brought valuable insight, leadership, and real-world perspective to the conversation. It was an honor to host him and create a space where fire service professionals could ask questions, exchange ideas, and discuss the future of fire department readiness. The session reflected exactly what FORTS® believes in: bringing leaders together, sharing knowledge, and supporting the people who serve our communities every day. We are grateful to Chief Smedley for joining us.
Tours, Demos, Giveaways, and Real Conversations
Throughout the event, the FORTS® team welcomed fire chiefs, firefighters, emergency response leaders, municipal decision-makers, and industry professionals for tours and live demonstrations of the FORTS® Temporary Fire Station. Visitors were able to walk through the unit, see the structure in person, ask technical questions, and better understand how FORTS® can support departments before, during, and after major facility projects.
We also had the opportunity to give away FORTS® T-shirts, journals, and many other prizes throughout the event.
